Adrian is a Guernsey Advocate with extensive expertise in all aspects of family law.
Admitted as a Solicitor (England & Wales) in 1987 and called to the Guernsey Bar in 2004, he is a qualified mediator, arbitrator and collaborative lawyer.
He practised in the north of England before moving to Guernsey with his family in 2002 to join Ozannes (now Mourant), where he led the family department. In 2012, he and his wife Jane co-founded Browns Advocates, the first firm in Guernsey to specialise exclusively in family law. They established Browns Family Law in 2023, a niche family dispute resolution practice focused on amicable separation, prior to which Adrian spent time as family law partner at Collas Crill.
Adrian is a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and a member of Resolution. He spent fourteen years as chair of the Guernsey Family Bar Association.
Outside work, Adrian is president of Sylvans Sports Club, enjoys offshore rowing, mountain biking and spending time with his family, and is an avid supporter of his home town football club Sheffield Wednesday.
